- The Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) said their company website was compromised in a “cybersecurity incident.” Sawnee EMC told customers to not attempt to log into the old website, and to not click on any link there.
- The City of St. Helena, California, has suffered a second cyberattack less than a month after its library system was disrupted by a security incident. A cyberattack forced officials to shut down the city’s computer systems as a cautionary measure.
- Hospitals across US disrupted after cyberattack targets healthcare titan Ascencion. Ascencion confirmed it was hit by a cyberattack amid heightened concerns over cybersecurity in health care and an alarming surge in breaches.
- Lending protocol Sonne Finance was forced to pause operations after suffering a hack that drained $20 million worth of cryptocurrencies from the market. Sonne Finance’s post-mortem found that a donation attack was conducted on Sonne’s Compound v2 forks, which had a known bug.
- At the end of the session, the 7,000 students of the CEGEP de Lanaudière in Canada will be deprived of classes for at least three days due to a cyberattack which forces the closure of the four establishments.
- The Port of São Francisco do Sul released an official note informing that it suffered a cyber attack on the server, with the encryption of some data. Porto informs that it is still investigating the extent of the affected data.
- Fiskars Group has been subject to a cyber security incident which has impacted a small number of the company’s systems in the U.S. The company’s operations have not been affected, and its business continues to operate as usual.
- A computer attack affected the Pau-Pyrénées airport, the Eklore business school (formerly CNPC) and the Pau digital campus, three institutions linked to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICC).
